Les Elles de la construction is an organization that aims to represent women in a sector with a strong male representation, by helping them to take their place and flourish professionally. We collaborate with people to change mentalities and implement solutions that promote harmonious work, respectful of our differences and yet complementary.
We believe in each other's strengths and in our ability to grow together to build a prosperous future, both individually and economically for Quebec. We emphasize mutual aid and solidarity between women, with the support of men, to encourage female entrepreneurship and stimulate growth. We are committed to being there for you, to help you evolve.

Les Elles de la construction, a Solidarity Network
Founded in 2010, our organization was born from the desire of several women to create an entity dedicated to women in construction, offering them a frame of reference where they can feel supported, helped, and find resources specific to them. In a workplace with a high male representation, having access to an organization that understands the challenges of women in the construction field and that represents them has become a necessity. Les Elles de la construction was recognized as a non-profit organization in 2013. Since then, several women have taken over its leadership, each involved in advancing women’s rights.
Executive Director
Crystelle Cormier, appointed to the position of General Manager on July 7, 2025, brings with her a wealth of experience in a related sector of activity, cumulating over seven years in the management of employer organizations as well as in governance, including four years as Chief Executive Officer of the Association québécoise de la quincaillerie et des matériaux de construction (AQMAT), where she distinguished herself by her ability to meet a number of challenges with rigor, creativity and assurance.
The new head of the organization is committed to promoting the contribution of women in the construction industry, while improving the retention rate.
Les Elles de la construction represents and supports women in the construction industry, promoting equity and female entrepreneurship while encouraging constructive collaboration between all stakeholders in the sector.

Women pursuing studies in construction-related fields, such as civil engineering, architecture, construction site management, etc.
Tradeswomen
Women who work in trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electricity, welding, etc.
Professional women
Women in positions in management, engineering, design, architecture, project management, etc.
Women entrepreneurs
Women who run companies in construction, renovation, architecture, design, etc.

We collaborate with the following construction industry stakeholders:
Government bodies
Agencies at the provincial and federal levels that represent women, such as the Secrétariat à la condition feminine.
Businesses
Small, medium, and large companies operating in residential, commercial, and industrial development and construction.
Professional associations and unions
Professional associations and unions that represent workers in the construction industry.
CEGEPs and universities
CEGEPs and universities that train young people for careers in the construction sector.
Media and trade fairs
Media and trade fairs which provide information and organize awareness-raising activities on construction trades and employment.
We intend to become the reference in Quebec for everything related to women in the construction industry.
