Promotion, to introduce women to the construction trades
To encourage equity and diversity in the construction industry, Elles de la construction is actively involved in participating in the promotion of construction professions open to women. We work within CEGEPs, universities and vocational training centres to demystify these professions and encourage and retrain young women to take their place in this predominantly male-dominated sector.
We also speak to the media and at trade shows to inform and raise awareness among women about careers and employment opportunities in construction. Our ambassadors, whether they are professional women, women entrepreneurs or tradeswomen, act as true sources of inspiration. Through their achievements, they show that it is possible to pursue a career in the construction sector and to contribute, women and men together, to common success.

Awareness-raising actions to increase the presence of women in construction
Are you part of CEGEP staff, a university or a vocational training centre who is looking to inform students and retrain women about careers in the construction sector to broaden their professional prospects? Do you represent the media or are involved in the organization of a trade show? Our promotional activities aim to raise awareness of the many opportunities and careers offered by this industry, through information sessions, workshops, and conferences.
The construction industry is constantly evolving and transforming, with a notable increase in the number of women in key positions. A variety of trades are available to women, ranging from traditional trades such as carpentry, masonry, and electricity, to specialized trades such as engineering, project management, and architectural design.
