Marie Lanouette, Estimator

In 2015, Marie, then a medical assistant with no experience in construction, seized an opportunity as a receptionist at Béton Concept AM, marking the beginning of a transformative journey. Quickly recognized for her resourcefulness and discipline, she adapted to a demanding environment, even after the company joined Atwill-Morin.

While working full time, she pursued training in estimating and blueprint reading, despite logistical challenges and often being the only woman in her classes. Her determination led her to become an estimator within a year.

Since then, she has played an active role in the team’s success, combining technical expertise, professionalism, and strong people-centered leadership. Deeply engaged in company culture, she founded the social committee “Lâche ton casque,” contributes to the ESG committee, and organizes team-building initiatives.

Through her consistency and involvement, Marie embodies authentic, accessible, and inspiring female leadership. She demonstrates that it is possible to build a strong career in construction, regardless of one’s starting point.
