Join us for a networking cocktail where we'll welcome Marie-Claire Hamel, Founder and CEO of OZEX, a company that helps parents and organizations better support mental health, parenthood, and work-life balance through science-based self-care programs and practical resources that provide essential tools from the perinatal period and beyond.
What is the OZEX app?
OZEX is a wellness app that supports families through the transition to parenthood with credible, personalized content designed to encourage healthy habits and everyday action.
Through the Building with Elles program, OZEX has also developed self-care and wellness pathways specifically tailored to women working in the construction industry—whether they are parents or not.
The app will be available soon, but before its official launch, we'd like to invite you to test it exclusively and share your feedback with us.

Marie-Claude Hamel, Guest Speaker
Before founding OZEX, Marie-Claude Hamel spent nearly nine years in the construction industry, working in roles ranging from field engineering to institutional project management. She experienced firsthand the realities of construction sites: site trailers, coordination meetings, shifting schedules, unexpected challenges, subcontractors—and often being the only woman (and, in her case, the youngest person) at the lunch table or in client meetings.
In 2021, she embarked on a career transition, diving into the worlds of technology and health while continuing to work on construction sites. For several years, she balanced two very different environments: the hands-on world of construction, where coordination, decision-making, and delivering results are essential, and the fast-paced world of technological innovation, where she began developing OZEX around wellness, self-management, and turning knowledge into everyday action.
Today, although her work takes her away from construction sites more often, she still feels deeply connected to her steel-toe boots, concrete-stained jeans, and high-visibility safety vest. That's why she is especially proud to collaborate with the Building with Elles program to develop digital tools that reflect the realities of the field—tools designed to provide practical support for the self-management, well-being, and everyday lives of women in the construction industry.
