Congrès des Bâtisseuses: Beyond Four Walls
On October 8, let's build the future of construction together.
The Congrès des Bâtisseuses is the Elles de la construction's major annual gathering, bringing together women in construction, their allies, and industry leaders around a shared goal: driving real, concrete change in the sector.
Under the theme "breaking out of four walls," it will address the different "walls" women in construction need to overcome — leadership, job-site culture, workforce retention, access to major projects, safe work environments, confidence at work, and networking and strategic alliances. The event will close with a networking cocktail to keep the conversations going.
Breaking out of four walls is more than a theme. It's a collective commitment.

Brigitte Dupuis, Business Development Director, gbi
> Workshop 3: Breaking Down The Economic Wall
Brigitte Dupuis is actively engaged in the real estate and building sector, at the crossroads of innovation, technology, and sustainable development. With over twenty years of experience, she draws on her network, strategic vision, and deep understanding of the market to contribute to the growth and evolution of the industry. Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in business development, marketing strategy, knowledge management, and the support of complex projects.
Deeply involved in Quebec's real estate ecosystem, Brigitte has a particular interest in smart buildings, new technologies, energy efficiency, and more sustainable and resilient development models. Through her projects, talks, and involvements, she seeks to foster synergies between ideas, expertise, and practical applications, making a field often seen as complex more accessible.
Author of the novel Le Bowling – L'art de bâtir, she blends fiction and reality to demystify the many facets of real estate development, from initial vision to asset operation. Her writing reflects her drive to share knowledge, bring clarity, and inspire a new generation of builders, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

France Goyet, President, INNO Magazine et Grands Bâtisseurs
> Panel 4: Breaking Through the Wall of Isolation
France Goyet's reputation in the industry speaks for itself. Her passion for entrepreneurship, her undeniable charisma, and her ease in connecting with people have always led her to venture off the beaten path to showcase local businesses.
In another life, France worked for the Canadian Armed Forces, West Edmonton Mall, and a trucking company. From 1994 to 1997, she coordinated advertising sales for all of Québecor's local newspapers. She then created the magazine Acheter québécois, before joining the Montréal 2025 team, whose goal was to highlight the metropolis's innovative projects.
It was then that she had the idea of creating a print publication to showcase our province's builders: INNO Magazine. In 2017, on the occasion of the City of Montréal's 375th anniversary, she drew on her networking and coordination experience to launch the first edition of the Soirée des Grands Bâtisseurs — a large-scale networking event bringing together some 1,500 people, which will celebrate its 8th anniversary this year. Since then, her expertise has been sought after to organize various events, sit on juries, and promote businesses.

Annie Robineau, Project Manager, CSD Construction
> Workshop 2: Breaking the Cultural Wall
Driven by the conviction that everyone deserves to work in a respectful and inclusive environment, Annie Robineau has devoted nearly 30 years of her career to the union world. Over the years, she has worked in various fields, including communications, labour relations, representation with industry partners, project management, and organizational development. This range of experience has given her a deep understanding of the realities faced by workers in construction.
Today, as project manager at CSD Construction, she coordinates the CSD Initiative for Women Apprentices, a project aimed at supporting women in their professional journey and helping them stay in the industry. Convinced that change comes through listening, collaboration, and concrete action, she puts her expertise to work for a more inclusive construction industry, one where women can grow, thrive, and contribute fully to the future of the field.

Marie-Claude Viau, Founder, Momenta
> Panel 3: Rebuilding the Wall of Confidence
Marie-Claude Viau specializes in leadership development and support for professional transitions. Over more than 10 years at the Institut de leadership, she supported more than 1,500 women leaders across Quebec.
Her hands-on experience revealed a strategic blind spot: despite well-intentioned policies, the transition to parenthood often leads to reduced engagement, loss of confidence, and premature departures among key talent.
To address this issue, she founded Momenta, Quebec's first structured program dedicated to the parental transition and career continuity of professional mothers, sitting at the intersection of three HR priorities: talent retention, psychological health and sustainable performance, and equity, diversity and inclusion.
She is also involved with Mères avec pouvoir, an organization supporting vulnerable single mothers.
A mother and entrepreneur herself, Marie-Claude is convinced that organizations that invest in parental transitions are investing directly in their human capital.
