For several years, BFL CANADA has supported initiatives that foster the development and advancement of women across all sectors. The company actively contributes to creating opportunities and supporting the next generation through various initiatives that help shape more inclusive environments, strengthen organizational performance, and build a more balanced, innovative, and sustainable future for all.

“Promoting female talent means investing in the potential, determination, and leadership that shape the world of tomorrow. Whether in business, sports, or the community, BFL CANADA is proud to actively contribute to highlighting women and their achievements. That is why we are honored to support Elles de la construction, as well as all those who play a key role in the evolution of the construction industry,” says Lisa Giannone, President and Chief Operating Officer of BFL CANADA.
Encouraging female entrepreneurship and leadership
In line with its ongoing commitment, BFL CANADA is involved with the Barry F. Lorenzetti Centre for Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership, located at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. Founded in 2021, this centre was established thanks to the support of Barry F. Lorenzetti, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board, and Founder of BFL CANADA.
The Centre’s mission is to support women in achieving their professional goals by facilitating connections between the academic world and the business community. This commitment aims to provide a hub of expertise and research for women entrepreneurs and managers, and is brought to life through the organization of events, exchanges, and conferences, to which BFL CANADA leaders contribute by sharing their experience and expertise. Lisa Giannone, President and Chief Operating Officer of BFL CANADA, is also an active member of the Centre’s advisory committee.
Ensuring the development of women’s hockey in Canada

BFL CANADA is also actively involved in promoting hockey, Canada’s national sport, particularly through various initiatives supporting the development and recognition of women’s hockey in the country. The company contributed to the creation of the “Coach of the Year” program, developed in collaboration with Hockey Canada, which has highlighted the excellence of women hockey coaches across Canada for more than seven years by recognizing the top performers.
BFL CANADA is also one of the founding partners of the Centre 21.02, the first and only elite women’s hockey high-performance center in Quebec. This initiative represents a significant step in the development and professionalization of players aspiring to compete at the provincial, national, or professional level.
The company continues its commitment to young athletes by sponsoring the “Caroline Ouellette Women’s Hockey Celebration” Foundation, which aims to promote, raise awareness of, and develop hockey among girls aged 5 to 15.
A commitment to women and inclusion at BFL CANADA
Through its commitments in the construction industry, the business community, and sports, BFL CANADA affirms a clear vision: a future where women fully occupy their place and actively contribute to transforming organizations and society.
