This partnership reflects a shared vision: one of a sector where diversity in talent, backgrounds, and perspectives becomes a true driver of performance, innovation, and lasting transformation.
A concrete commitment to diversity and inclusion

As stated by Raphaëlle L. Mignault, partner at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada: “At Norton Rose Fulbright, supporting the mission of Elles de la construction stems from a deep conviction: a strong and sustainable industry is built on diversity in talent, perspectives, and backgrounds. As a firm committed to the construction industry, we believe it is essential to actively contribute to initiatives that promote women’s leadership and provide women with access to equitable opportunities. Elles de la construction plays a key role in shifting mindsets and building a more inclusive environment, and we are proud to support them in this meaningful initiative for the future of the industry.”
This vision is fully aligned with the broader approach of Norton Rose Fulbright Canada, where diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of its business practices. The firm is committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and supportive workplace where everyone can be themselves and fully realize their professional potential.
Valuing diverse experiences and perspectives not only strengthens the firm’s internal culture, but also enhances its ability to meet the needs of clients operating across a wide range of markets, while actively contributing to the communities in which it operates. The firm’s belief is clear: diversity is a strength, and it must be cultivated at every level of the organization by recognizing and valuing each individual. Gender equity remains, in this regard, a key strategic priority for the firm.
Structured initiatives to advance gender equity
There are numerous key gender equity initiatives at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada, and they are taken very seriously.

- Gender parity
Norton Rose Fulbright Canada aims to increase the representation of women in partner and leadership roles in order to reach its 40:40:20 target (40% women, 40% men, 20% flexible) by 2030.
The firm has obtained the Parity Certification from La Gouvernance au Féminin in recognition of its efforts.
As of January 2026:
- 30 % of partners are women
- 27 % of members of the management committee are female partners
- 67 % of the senior leadership team is composed of women
- Career Strategy Program (CSP)
The Career Strategy Program (CSP) is a point of pride for Norton Rose Fulbright Canada. This CSP for women supports senior, high-performing lawyers and professional staff who demonstrate the qualities required to advance toward a partnership role.
Since 2013, several cohorts of women have benefited from this program, which provides a space that fosters connection despite geographic distance, strengthens leadership and people-management skills, and offers coaching to help participants define and achieve ambitious personal and professional goals.
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
At Norton Rose Fulbright Canada, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are self-managed communities open to all members of the firm. They provide opportunities for networking, collaboration, and meaningful change.
These ERGs include:
- The NRF Women’s Network promotes gender equity through mentorship and initiatives aimed at removing barriers to promotion, work allocation, and compensation.
- The Pride Network fosters an inclusive environment for 2SLGBTQI+ members and builds connections with client networks.
- The Origins Network advances racial equity through cultural and educational events, such as Black History Month panels and Asian Heritage Month workshops.
- The Indigenous Relations Network supports education-related initiatives as well as the Indigenous Relations Partnership Accreditation (PAIR).
- The Breathe Network promotes mental health through support activities and wellness testimonials led by members of the firm.
