The training “Kinesiology Prevention and Healthy Work Practices in Construction,” designed to adopt safe work methods

This training aims to equip construction workers with the tools needed to prevent injuries and adopt healthy work habits that support their health, safety, and long-term career longevity. Focused on warm-up routines and exercise practices adapted to the construction environment, it contributes to creating a safer work environment on job sites by relying on recognized best practices in prevention and movement.

Construction trades place daily physical demands on the body through heavy exertion, awkward postures, repetitive movements, and challenging working conditions. Over time, these constraints can lead to pain, chronic fatigue, and work absences. This training offers concrete strategies to work more efficiently, recover more quickly, and sustainably preserve physical health.

The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for adults aged 18–64 recommend engaging in at least 150 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, in addition to performing muscle-strengthening activities at least twice per week.
